if you are going to keep it on propane, the first thing is to get that tank tested.

sounds like a good move, but i would not dispose of the parts. there are a lot of people who were raised on the old propane burners and want the conversion parts, including tank, mounts, vaporizer, etc. An ad in the printed version of Red Power Magazine (they do not have for sale on the website), or in the classified section of yesterdays Tractors may bring you more money than you expect.

Agree with John. You should be able to sell those parts easy enough. Congrats on the MV #2 find!

Any back story on this one?

Don't know much about it. It came out of New Iberia, LA. At least this one was sitting for years in a shed instead of out in the open like my other one. It should start right up. The guy I bought it from got it about 2 months ago, hooked up a butane bottle to it and it started right up. I am trying to get info from the guy he bought it from to see if I can find out which farm it came from.

Had a little time to work on #2 this weekend. It went uneventful for the most part. The only thing I found was a lot of condensation and a little water in the engine. I thought cracked block at first but that was not the case. The muffler was uncovered and some moisture got in. From what the guy said it sat outside for about 2-3 months after they removed it from the shed. Luckily it was not locked up. Need to get a valve cover gasket as some oil was coming out. A few valve issues. Think I will pull the head and get a valve job done on it. Check out the video :{_}: Excuse the wife's comments :?
