Postby Dale Finch » Wed Apr 25, 2012 8:19 pm

I will be posting photos of a tractor my sisters and I ran across this month while driving from NC to New Orleans. We will see how many photos it takes for someone to identify AND tell the function of this tractor! Good luck!!! :big smile:

Bud knows his red iron!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Nice paint job!

It is a 1953 Super M with the distillate option. It has been converted to a high clearance machine, much higher than a typical MV that would have been used as a conventional cane tractor. It was probably intended as a spray rig or some similar operation.

I was teasing...but I guess since you already know WHAT it is, I might as well show it all (so to speak!!!):

OK, anymore guesses as to its purpose before I show the distance shots? Of course, I don't think it will help anyway...I never would have guessed!!

Purpose - farming, or maybe not. Need a better idea of where that propane line goes. Serial number suggests 1939. Vern
