M engine swap/ mini fest

Postby Bezirk » Thu Dec 29, 2011 6:32 am

Today , three friends and I will be swappimg engines in the M that I got from Dan R in Tennessee last January. We will follow the advice of a member of the the Cub forum and leave the bolster and steering assy. together and remove rails at the rear. I hope to get a few pics. and will post. I have the skidloader attached under the M rails and will unbolt and back away with the whole front end of the M .I'll report on ease ( or lack of ease, of operation).

if you haven't put it back together yet, remember to slip the two front mounting blocks back into the rails for the engine BEFORE you bolt the rails back on the transmission.

now i wonder why i would say that :!: :?:

Thanks Art, I have not put the front end on yet, the engine is installed . I realize that you are very correct and I appreciate the heads up.
