1949 M Seat Spring

I bought a new spring and shock, after installing, the seat is at a very sharp angle to the steering wheel. Were there two different lengths of spring? The shock I think is correct. Thanks

Nope,my H is the same way.A guy told me if ya want to,cut a little off the spring.Mine is going down a bit now,the more I'm on it.Maybe tie some weights to it???Kevin PS the other one was for heavier guys!!!

The important thing is where its at when your sitting on it. Most I've seen ride to low with even a light weight operator.

Thanks for the come back, I will leave as is for time being, never use it, get it out a few times a year, just to hear it run.

there are also a few diffrent spring tensions that are avaible. you can tell what spring you have buy how many notches are on the top of the spring.

I'm pretty sure that the different tensions are no longer available. Replacement springs are available from a variety of sources, but all of them are the heavy duty spring.

I've got a replacement on mine and I'm about 180lbs. and it rides to low for my liking.

I have the 180# beat by a good bit. Seems the seat is about level with me on it. I looked for the marks and could find none.
