1946 Farmall B - Back to life

Postby Urbish » Tue Jun 21, 2016 4:48 am

My wife's grandfather gave her a 1946 Farmall B. It hasn't been run since 2005 but has been stored in a clean, dry pole barn. We dragged it out this weekend, poured some fuel in, and gave it a few cranks. It was running pretty good within 5 minutes!

Next order of business is to replace that flag.

Thanks, Stanton. After replacing that flag, I need to check/replace gear oil in trans and final drives. Things sounded a little dry in there so I kept my cruise around the barnyard short and slow. I'll be bringing it back home to Michigan soon where I'll be able to give it the attention and preventative maintenance it deserves.
