BN-EXP. NEEDED
B-BN Exp. Needed. My B exp. is limited to 3 days. Picked up one at auction sat. feel like I got a fair deal $300.00 I am going this week end to get an A that looks to be in fair shape. My plan is to use this A as a parts/donor tractor. Can anyone tell me about the front ends . Can I put the B tricycle front on the better A donor. I understand the rear with housings and axels. Thanks for your help Muletrain

Re: BN-EXP. NEEDED
If I'm not mistaken I believe you can. The steering linkage defiantly needs to be swapped. Bs steering rod goes into a U-joint and then into the bolster while the A goes directly into it.
Heres a video of a tractor where the guy did the exact opposite. Put an A front on a B.

Re: BN-EXP. NEEDED
It is possible to swap the front ends between the A and B if you move enough parts (including the support for the steering shaft and the grille). Of course, they will both end up lopsided.

Re: BN-EXP. NEEDED
I pulled my 44 A out beside it this morning. As I see it ,The front of the engine block everything seems to be the same. I don't see any problems with change over, as for the rear I was thinking one side but after checking I will be doing both. I have not been into the rear or trans yet. It's surely gonna be a change over know, when I pulled the broken shifter the trans is one half full of water. Well-Hopefuly the one I'm supposed to pick-up sat. will be good. THANKS for your HELP and GUIDANCE. Muletrain

Not as bad a job as you would think for. Front is a e z job, changing the axels and housings takes a little time. Motorized red erector set. Has been a fun interesting job so far.when spring gets here I will get her ready for paint. Thanks for all the helpful info.
