Been lookin for a B for a while. Most I found were in the upper mid west. I live in Western NC. This one was listed on Craigs list as a 39. The seat support indicates a Super A ! I guess it was a donor tractor that offered up the seat support. Engine casting number says 12/13/45, Tranny 5/3/46. I think I am safe at 1946. Anybody that knows any different please let me know. I am new to the antique tractor business.

That tractor has a good looking paint job on it. Good luck with it, and have fun!

Thanks Dusti
I looked at an M nearby but it was too big for my trailer and my basement.

Probably a '46. What is the engine number? It is STAMPED into a machined boss on the engine block, below the #1 spark plug.

Lack of Dzus fasteners holding the hood and grille in place is a dead giveaway that it is not a '39.

A friend of mine has a '39 B. Doesn't even have a place on the bell housing for a starter!

No casting date codes either!
