Farmall B mowers

My brother-in-law has a B and is wondering if there are pull-behind mowers for a B, or if they are only under-mounted.

Thanks, Todd

The wide stance of the B makes it unhandy for pull type mowers. A mower wide enough to cover the wheel tracks of the B would be too big for the tractor's power if you are talking rough cut mower.
On the other hand, virtually any pull type mower will work behind the tractor but again the wide stance is going to be an issue.

Once owned a B. Used it to pull a 5 foot brush hog type mower. The B would handle the mower in low but not in 2nd gear when mowing CRP land.

A lot of Bs were turned into lawn mower tractors with belly mounted mowers.

As far as stance is concerned, I put a 6' bush hog behind my B. It did it - sort of, but it was too much mower for the tractor. Size wise it matched perfectly though.
