After rebuilding w/carb kit, it leaks out the drain hole at the bottom of the carb and then starts weeping out. Is my float stuck?
I've had it apart a couple times, even putting the old main jet back in just for fun but it still starts leaking eventually. I can hear the float moving if I give it a gentle shake after re-assembling it.
It starts ok (takes a couple easy cranks) and once warmed up she will idle as smooth as Mom's sewing machine.
FYI, this is my first carb rebuild.
Appreciate any insight.

When you rebuilt the carb, did you replace the needle and seat? There is also a pin that the float hinges on. Did you replace that?
Is it just leaking at the drain plug? Not familiar with the zenith carb at all...mine has a marvel schebler

Yes, I believe so. I replaced everything that came in the kit. It drips out the drain hole then appears to weep out the gasket and choke rod.
I've searched for all the youtube videos I could find about it & plan to work on it this weekend...maybe the float isn't level properly or has a hole.
Thanks.

Did the kit come with instructions for setting the float?

No, don't recall seeing any instructions for that.
As I understand it (now) is that I need to make sure it is at least level (?)

You need to determine the correct settings and make the proper adjustment. Perhaps someone on here knows what they are.

Excellent. I found it. Thanks.
Unfortunately didn't get a chance to look at this last weekend. Spent all my time rigging up a hillbilly solar heater contraption for the pool.

I've had it apart a few times. No luck. For now I'll just shut the gas off at the bowl. She will still fire right up on the first crank.
Maybe I'll try the more complete rebuild kit sometime in the near future. Too much grass to cut for now.

What all did you do to it while it was apart?

Re: '45 BN...carb float sticking?
I'm having a similar issue. I hope I can get it fixed. Trying to get the B running reliably so I can run it in a parade. If anyone has any other tips that would be much appreciated.
