Need a Voltage Regulator

Postby Stanton » Fri Jan 31, 2014 9:01 am

Need a VR for the H. I know to be wary of the cheap VRs out there, but wondered if you all have bought a VR in the last year of so, who did you buy it from and has it done well?

Was leaning toward something like this: http://www.steinertractor.com/ABC153-6v ... -regulator

Thanks.

I bought one from Steiner and it lasted 1 hour. I know it's hard to bite the bullet and fork over twice the cash for the made in the USA VR, but I'll never buy a cheap one again.

go to www.rockauto.com, they have close outs all the time, American made regulators, vr 214 for the one that mounts on the generator and vr 217 for the one that mounts on the bracket, just put those #s in the part search box

I just bought a 12 volt VR for my 73 Cub from rockauto, and it is indeed made in the USA.
