1941 Farmall H

Postby LA Eric » Sun Aug 04, 2013 10:34 pm

Found this non-running Farmall H a few weeks ago at a price I could not refuse. The seller said that he brought it here from Texas 20 or so years ago. Some water got in the exhaust and the engine was stuck. Well, I pulled the head and it did not take much to free it up. Many of you saw my thread a few months ago on my MV, and I plan on taking similar steps prior to trying to start the H.

Cleaned everything up, but the top of the #1 piston was pitted pretty bad. Will this cause a major problem????

Always wanted an HV, but this will have to do for now. Speaking of HVs, a long-time friend of the family has this Super HV, one of 70 SHVs produced. He promised that he will sell it to me one day, but not now because he still is making a garden with it. I hope he sells it to me sooner than later :P
