Can the wheels in an H be reversed ? I need about 4" to get it on a trailer.

Not too big a job, depending on whether you have fluid or weights. A cherry picker makes it much easier. If the wheels haven't been moved in a while, the clamp bolts may be hard to loosen. 2 inside and 2 outside, per wheel. One word of warning, once the wheels are reversed, the tread is pretty narrow and will make it easy to tip over.

Good news! Now I just have to figger out how to get it on the trailer with those front tires. My trailer has ramps.

Assuming it is a trailer with 2 ramps, either borrow a third one, or else drive up to the trailer at a 90 degree angle (rear wheels next to end of ramps). When the rear wheel lines up with the ramp, cut the steering wheel all the way while riding the brake. The front wheels will go up the other ramp, and be right at the edge just as they hit the trailer. Keep on swinging around till you are straight, and then just drive on. One word of caution doing this, if you do not cut the wheels and ride the brakes hard enough at the same time, it may tend to push the ramps off the side of the trailer. As a safety precaution, I have welded a couple pieces of angle at the end of the ramp brackets to keep them from sliding off the end of angle brackets. Of course, this only works loading nose first, not backing on.

I have removed H wheel/tire assemblies by first totally removing the clamp to give plenty of slop. Then lower tractor to within a bout 2" of the ground. Use a 2 wheel dolley to remove using that extra space where the clamp was removed. If just adjusting loosen clamp with slot down and insert a greased wire. Roll wheel 180 and slide on wire then roll back to remove wire. They actually sold a flat bar for this that had ball bearings crimped into it about 1/2" apart.
