We have a 1944 Farmall H and were thinking about plowing with it. Is the H good for snow and how hard is it to find the equipment?

If you have lots of room to maneuver the H would be be fine. A front loader with a blade attachment or wide bucket would be my preference.

I used mine for a couple of yrs with a back blade and it worked pretty good. Would be much better on the front though.

There are still some loaders around for Hs that would do the job.

Must be plowing a big area.Watch ebay or try some tractor equiment places.I've seen a few but have no use for them.I use my cub.PS I like a small blade keeps me outside longer.HaHA!!Ketcham

I don't have a snow plow for mine, but do have a large loader I have used quite a bit. Be forewarned, your arms will get quite a workout.

I do use a letter series for plow, I use my C with a blade mounted where the bucket goes on the loader. It does good besides when it's angled, the blade tips to one side, but otherwise it works great because I can build the snowbanks higher... i would not reccommend it for dirt with a blade, but i supposed one could make it work... I can plow about 14+" of snow with my C, but it's a small blade, and I have 2 sets of rear weights, and chains... i think it does a very very nice job
