Looks like a good old tractor to me. The 3-point alone you could probably sell for a 300 bucks. I have four h tractors one of them the best one I paid 800 for another one I paid 650 another one 600 and I think the other one was 700 I forget LOL. 750 is a good price for that if you can talk them down I would say offer 700. But 7:50 is definitely not a bad price. Just make sure the three-point works make sure the engine sounds okay. If you're going to buy it check it out. I would say get a compression tester from Harbor Freight or something cheap and test the compression on each cylinder. Should be around 90 to 110 pounds per square inch. Also here's another thing to check just because the 3-point goes up and down does not mean that it has enough power to actually lift something. Stand on the three-point and try and raise it up and down. Have a couple of people stand on it. I believe the Lyft pressure is something like 500 to 750 lb. Not entirely sure on that

I ended up buying the '40 H that I test drove twice. I will be cleaning the gas tank, so since the previous owner wanted his temporary gas tank back, I put on a plastic one until I get the gas tank cleaned. I can buy a used, clean one from JP's for $100, or one that's been cleaned, boiled, and red coated from them for $245, but I think I'll try and clean the one I have first.

I put on a new front tire, a new steering wheel and did some other minor things to it, but it will be a working tractor, so don't expect a restoration of any kind.

BTW, the plastic tank came off a Cub Cadet zero turn. The guy I got the tractor from has a friend who works for a Cub Cadet dealer and he gave Wendell a bunch of these used tanks (they can't resell them even though there is nothing wrong with them). So Wendell gave this one to me for a temporary tank. Works good, and will give me enough gas to cruise on until I settle the actual gas tank. I probably need to put some rubber between the metal strap and the tank, though.

We couldn't figure out why the previous owner before Wendell welded on a flange. It reduces the exhaust some what, so probably was done to allow a smaller diameter inlet muffler. The inlet was originally a bit larger in diameter, now it's 2 inches, so a 2 inch ID inlet muffler will work.

I keep forgetting that I put that cover on so it gets shot off every time I start the tractor, well not every time, sometimes I do remember to take it off.

I considered that also and may use a ratchet strap or two.

When I was younger I used to try to catch the tin can when it blew off the exhaust on our H..Sometimes it did not come down within reach though.

Here I am driving the H on a cool wintery Saturday, the first weekend of February, before the snow and sub-zero degree weather. I have since drove it again this past weekend.

still have 1 H left here, dont use it anymore --- no 3-pt. so it really dont do me any good. Some friends of dad's had H's they farmed with. Popular tractors in their time.
