Brought home a Farmall H

Local hardware store, Fastenal, any tractor dealership, industrial supply will or should have tab washers. They may not look exactly like the one pictured, but will work.

Fastenal ad has tab washers for 28 cents each. $5.50 each times 8, plus shipping ='s a bunch of money.

Thanks for the input guy's. Didn't think about Fastenal. I'll give them a try.

I did not ask the dealer the cost when I ordered them. I knew they could get them in two days and they were small parts.
I picked 4 of them up this morning for $ 4.60 each. My dealer is 30 miles away and we had to go to Rural King and Lowes also.
We live 30 miles from just about everything but wet weather.

Spent a little time wire brushing the block and sandblasted the lifter cover. Got more to do.

I was looking at your tow bar. I understand how it is attached to the towed tractor. Just wondering how long it is ?
I take tractors to a local show every fall. It is only nine miles and thought I could tow one with another.

I'll have to measure it. There were several people in our local tractor club that used these to tow tractors. A couple guy's said they broke the steering gear while towing. We have towed our other H several times with no problem, but that doesn't mean we won't in the future. I pulled the gear out on this one before I towed it because it had no lube and was slightly rusty.

Thanks for the info. Link said tow bar was 45 inches long.
Just a guess on breaking the steering gear was they turned to sharp and hit the steering stop.

That could be. I believe one of the guys said it broke when backing his Farmall C into the barn with the tow bar and did get a pretty sharp angle on it.

Got a few more engine parts cleaned up in the blast cabinet. I then treated the block and blasted parts with some Ospho to prevent rust. I need to clean a few more parts and then I will epoxy prime everything.
