Sears "Farmall" tool boxes
Have I been living in a cave? A co-worker at my job up in Boston tells me there are Sears tool-boxes using the FARMALL and IH logos. Kind of pricey, and not for me. But I was somewhat surprised.

Yea, we all know "Sears ain't what it used to be" and everything, and we know the John Deere logo is used and over-used. But I found it interesting Sears chose the Farmall and IH logos for their products.

Re: Sears "Farmall" tool boxes
Bob, I guess your ad proves me wrong, because I was always told the dealers would not stand behind the spreaders, they left that up to the service men.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Re: Sears "Farmall" tool boxes
Am planning a manure spreading party for early March, 2013, here, to spread it and plow under in the same day.
But Ed doesn't like the idea. Why doesn't he trust me, I ask ???

Re: Sears "Farmall" tool boxes
CNH finally figured out what JD already knew, that there is more money in licensing than manufacturing! BTW, the Wife bought me a hoodie for Christmas, has a Ford oval and Ford typeset, but says Genuine Farmall Parts! Gonna be about as much fun to wear as my orange and yellow JD on a white t shirt that my Daughter gave me.

Careful these boxes have farmall emblems that are magnetic signs - they can be stuck on any toolbox. I got one for X-mas from my kids.
very cheap - I would not tell them that though!

Re: Sears "Farmall" tool boxes
Interesting. I think that's why we like our old Farmalls. Built in the day when steel was steel, brass was brass, cast iron was cast iron. Today everything is so fake and cheap. So when we're working on these old things we are connected to a very different time in history. I bet our tractors will be still running when the toolbox falls apart, drawer comes off the track, whatever. And nowadays when that happens, we throw it away and go buy another one.
