Terry:

IH supplied a number of different engine components to other equipment manufacturer's who built things like road graders. I can't tell for sure, but that may be a Gallion nametag on the side rail of the road grader.

It's kind of off topic, but that photo looks like it was taken at the Gilmore Classic Car Museum in Michigan.

I was searching farmall pics for a new website I am creating and came across that. I can't recall what page I found it on now.

We saw one of these at the Leesburg show we attended. Not the best pics in the world, due to the lighting, but here it is:

I had one of those for awhile when i was doing excavating contracting. Mine was built by Road Patrol but dont remember where they were located. Mine didnt have the nice fenders like that one and had a Farmall rust patena paint job but worked good for light grader work and road maintance. It didnt have leanable wheels and took 40 acres+ a football field to turn it around in. It still had the factory belly hyd pump but it was unused> The grader was operated by a aux pump n tank mounted out on the front. It didnt have a pto shaft just a block off plate over the hole. And it was manual control on rotating the blade. You learned real quick how to lower on corner of blade trip the latch and power adjust the blade by driving forward or back lol cause you didnt get off and swing it by hand.
And Scrivet swears it would run 35 or 40 mph on the highway, being towed on a chain behind a Dodge picup that is.

The man I bought my "M" from had a second "M" that had a Gallion grader on it and Shepard diesel under the hood, industrial yellow in color. I couldn't buy 'em both so the Gallion had to sit, it was a big heavy son-of-a-gun. I've got a picture of it somewhere. It was complete, kinda rough and the engine was stuck. Unfortunately it ended up doing for scrap... :(
