International 340 utility

Postby XFARMA » Tue Oct 27, 2009 5:52 pm

Just picked up a 340 utility but I can't find the serial # any where and there are 2 brass plates mounted on the tin work under the steering wheel with technical info listed on them. I did find some #'s stamped into the front bolster on the right side but they are hard to read. It has been painted red & white but has yellow paint underneath. Any thoughts or info would be greatly appreciated. Chuck

The serial plate on a 340U should be on the bell housing. Your extra brass plates strongly indicate former military. They should give the branch and some specifics of that unit.
