240 utility seat

Postby artc » Wed May 16, 2007 11:23 am

my 1958 240U has a spring pan seat. it leans forward, putting the operator in an awkward, slide off the seat position. i was thinking of getting a deluxe seat for it.

is it the same seat as on the cubs of the era?

Art,

The seat frames are all the same but the mounting brackets are different.

Actually. the 240U uses a different seat frame. You can get an idea in the picture.

Actually, there were 2 different deluxe seats used on the 240. I think the Bostrom (like in Danial's picture) was more common. The Milsco used a round tubular frame for the back rest but over all looked more like the Bostrom than it looked like the Cub seat.
