M&W Parts Questions

Postby Brandon Webb » Thu Jan 12, 2006 8:19 pm

What were these parts sold for, pull tractors or farming. I know they made pistons and governors. Would a farmer be concerned with HP. Also I have saw aluminum trans tops for m's and h's. What are these for. Thanks Brandon.

I'm pretty sure that M&W made a hand clutch for a live PTO, but don't quote me on this

M&W made a lot of parts and accessories, first as improvements for farming, and later also added parts for pullers. yes, many farmeres wanted more horsepower. they didn't normally put in different pistons just to get the power, but when an overhaul was needed it made sense to increase power while doing it.

such Items as aluminum transmission tops, are for the pullers to lighten their tractors to get them in a lighter class.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

There is a 4 page article in Red Power Magazine, May-June 2005. It may not have covered everything.
