Fast hitch for 1950 farmall C
Is it possible to put a super c fast hitch on a 1950 C if I got all the parts off a super c with a fast hitch?

Not certain whether it will work or not. Do you have hydraulics on your C already? I'm thinking it will work, but will have to look at a C to be certain

I've never done it, but believe it will. "All the parts" will probably include at least one arm from the Touch Control rockshaft, the one on the right has an additional place for one of the Fast-Hitch links.

Thanks, Jim. That's one of the things I was going to point out to him. I found that out the hard way. Hydraulic lines are different, also. Seat base is different. Or seat base will have to be modified if not getting it with fast hitch.

Re: Fast hitch for 1950 farmall C
There's close to 50 pieces that need to change - the hard lines from the pump to the Hyd Block are different,
the hyd valve is HARD to find, the seat base can be modified. Lots of pieces.
I'm parting out a Super C and the entire fast hitch assy will be on eBay soon.

Thomas Mays - all "C's" and "Super C's" have hydraulics. It's a small pump, only about 3 GPM or so (maybe less?)

Correct, but previous owners do weird things to these machines. I have a friend who acquired a C with no hydraulics. He just uses it to pull a disc.

It's not a hard job. Just make sure you get all the parts you need. I'd advise taking a parts manual with you. Easy to overlook something

Re: Fast hitch for 1950 farmall C
You can work around some of the "critical" items with a little ingenuity.
For one thing, it's pretty simple to modify the seat box. Use the brackets to locate the holes, and a hole saw to make them...
You can use a standard open center valve and a bypass block to operate the hitch. It won't have the two-way check valve arrangement, but it will work.
Also with a little welding and some scrap metal you can make a bracket to attach the depth control bar to a standard Touch Control arm. It precludes the arm from being used for a cultivator, but normally you would unhook and relocate the depth control to its fixed position when you do that anyway. Simply store the bracket in your modified seat box.
