Re: trans oil
Empty tranny, fill with diesel, and drive around about 10 min. Drain and fill with SAE 80 gear oil or something close(85w-90 readily available). Takes 4.75 to 5 gal. Power takeoff and belt pulley options requires five gallons. This fill tranny and rear end

Re: trans oil
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three you have listed. I couldn't find straight 80 when I was looking for some. Not locally anyway.

Re: trans oil
Tractor Supply has a straight 90 wt gear oil that is label Ford Transmission Fluid (or something close to that). That should be fine for your SC.

Re: trans oil
I use 85w-140 in my Super A. It really comes down to personal preference IMHO. I just wouldn't go lower than 80

Re: trans oil
Depends on the tractor and the condition of everything in the transmission.
They all have some whine to varying degrees, and thicker oil will quiet them down some, but if it's really bad the only option is to overhaul the transmission.
