Engine is the same height on the two tractors. Only difference is the bigger bore to get 123CI out of the Super C. IIRC the C is still 113CI.

Hood and gas tank sit approximately 2" higher on the Super C, due to a taller radiator for better cooling. That and I have heard tell that IH raised the hood to make the tractor look bigger/better.

Water pump has nothing to do with hood height. The pump is actually located on the lower left of the engine IIRC.

Up date on the C , Cecil and I started working on the C yesterday we had to clean up and install the distributor drive. We installed new points condenser rotor button distributor cap and plug wires. I had the carb already cleaned so we did some jerry rigging on it,(will buy a kit today) also will get new plugs . The starter was defective so I borrowed one from my M.
Before we left the shop we had it firing and it looks promising that it will start today. We will also change oil and filter today.

Tire sizes were usually the same between the C and the Super C, but that was a regional or owner specified thing--depended on how it was ordered from the dealer. Most C/Super C/200/230's around here ran 11.2-36 rear tires and 5.00-15 fronts, or a 7.50-10 single front.

As far as the differences, most have it about right. Super C had disk brakes, larger steering wheel, C-123 engine which looks just like the 113 except for the water pump. Taller radiator, which means the hood and gas tank sits up taller, and the grille for the Super C is taller than the C. '53 model and later Super C's had the 2 point fast hitch.

They are a nice, nimble, fairly powerful tractor for its size.

THe C runs again, after a few days of Cecil and Berlin working on the C it decided to run. The engine sounds good and everything except the hydraulics work very well on it. I am very appreciative of all of the help that Cecil gave me , and we had a great time working together . Here is a pic of Cecil making a test run .
