I really appreciate the help on this project. And now that I have attempted to adjust the valves the "old" way and found out how easy a valve adjustment is, I am confident with your help to get it done the right way. The easy way with the correct settings. But its raining today so I can't run it to heat it up again by mowing grass with a 6' pull-behind finishing mower we use on the larger areas where the cub is too slow. And of course I have the deer to butcher too. We gotta get them out of the soy bean fields!

Just FYI, all Super Cs have a serial number >100,000, both engine and chassis.
The first Super C was serial 100001.

Do you happen to know what year this transition took place? And where is the engine serial number? O will have to take a flashlight out to the barn and look for it.
I am surprised that the C123 in the Super C over serial #9506 had a different spec for the exhaust valve. Last year I adjusted the valves on my Farmall 200. The 200 uses the C123 and is really just a later version of the Super C. My operator's manual for the 200 indicates .014 for intake and exhaust.
