This question was asked on another forum I am a member of, and so far no one has an answer. Is the wide front end on a "C"/Super "C" and a 240 the same, and will they swap out??

The answer is "no" and "maybe".

The wide front for the C through 230 are the same, or close enough for all practical purposes. It has a wish-bone support that is integral with the axle center section and pivots on the same pin as the axle. The 240 wish bone is a separate part and pivots in a ball socket under the bell housing. A 240 axle wouldn't be good on the earlier tractors. The bolster is a different part number on the 240 than the other models as well, so I don't know if the earlier axle will work on a 240 or not.

This is all relative to the Farmall 240. A 240 Utility is another beast completely.
