Anyone know what the P in the C-21-P means? Also, what years were they produced?

Got a question because the operators manual is pretty vague about it. The long connecting rod from the TC arm up front to the "lifting arm" on the mower....is it supposed to change the angle of the cutting blade? Or is it supposed to pull the cutting blade up towards the travel position. I just got an axel bracket on for the lead adjustment, but it seems strange I can't lift the end of the cutting bar up. Or am I wrong in that I lower the bar manually and it essentially stays horizontal?

It stays horizontal. Adjusting the gag bar linkage has some effect on whether the tip is slightly above or below the inner end.

Has anyone gotten replacement sections for C-21 or 24 at Tractor Supply?

Any idea which of the 2 (3 types are offered but only 2 for Case IH):

CountyLine Sickle Section, S20-5170CL
CountyLine Sickle Section, S20-4013CL

Lastly, does the Cub 22 take the same blades as the C-21?

And double lastly, since I have never done rivets, will the bolts do the same job?

Use whichever matches the rest of your knife. I would use under serrated S20-5170CL. Although there are several styles, sections interchange between virtually all IH sickle mowers. I've always used rivets but some others prefer bolts. Either should work.

Well, got a couple of packets of the heavy duty sections at TSC and they did not have the bolts!!! Had the time to do it and so I bought a packet of rivets and said I will give it a whirl after a bunch of youtubes.

I ground off the rivet heads, found the perfect rock from the garden and punched out the old rivets....all 40. Found that after the heads are ground off I could give the spot a good whack with the round head on the hammer and that got them going. Put on a new section with 2 new rivets and found another perfect rock to act as an anvil. It wasn't so bad mushrooming the heads and got them all done. Needless to say, I have 6 more sections to do and ordered the bolts to come with the new section packet. Feels good to have that done and will look for a piece of 6 x 6 steel tube for a new anvil although I know where the perfect rocks are!!

When setting the rivets, hit them hard with a bigger hammer. You want to swell them in the hole, not just head them.
