Hi guys, just acquired a Super C...not sure of the SN; the plate is gone probably due to the FH, but I have engine, brake, deck and axel housing numbers. Pretty sweet...runs smooth, FH (lack the vertical piston), rear quick connect hoses with separate control, tin good, shifts without a sound. Only thing I HAVE to do is get a new set of front tires and hearing about somewhere to get a cheap set would be appreciated.
Looking forward to get this thing home to CT and out of the pines in RI and start learning more new stuff!!! I know I can count on the knowledge here!!

351887-R5 on the engine. Any ideas on the year?

Most likely 52 model going by the one cast code. It shows December of 1951.

Hey, thanks! As mentioned, it has a fast hitch with the rod connecting the TC and the bail for pitch. Note on the back right of the FH...it has a spot for a lift cylinder which I presume would hook up to the flexible hoses with it's own control. What size and type of cylinder would I look to buy?
Also, I was bummed about the blown out tires and resigned to buying new ones and didn't look close at them...purchase standard 3 rib 5.00 x 15's?

Cylinder 2-1/2x8 with ends and closed length to fit the space. The original had a stop rod and valve to set depth. You can go to the CaseIH site to see it in the parts catalog. The hitch is in the "attachments".

I did go to the site and while I am a bit cross eyed from looking up the cylinders, I saw that they spec'ed 3-1/2"bore. I figure that 2.5 to 3.5"will work because that range will fit the space and 20.25 our 20.5"closed fits in the spacing between pin holes. I am not going to be lifting Gibraltor...just during with a back blade or tow things.
I didn't know CaseIH had the manuals...Thank you for that too.
PO says the connection hoses have the original IH fittings which I hope won't be a problem hooking to connection hoses to the cylinder

Was wondering if my assumption on the cylider bore size was correct...thoughts?
I never did pose the connection point as a question...are the old connection fittings capable of marrying up with todays fittings or will I have to change them to new fittings?
Thank you

All I see listed in the parts catalog is a 2-1/2 cylinder. Some tractor models had a 3-1/2 option but I don't see it for the Super C. It would probably fit. The breeak-away couplers look like a later style that IH used. There were a lot of coupler styles. You just have to go looking to see what is currently available. Finding a part number on your existing parts could help your search.

It looks like you are also missing the bellcrank adjusting link (517 824 R1 in the catalog). It is often missing, not real easy to find.

Thanks, right the adjusting link is the link that tilts the FH side to side angle. I got a guy who can make anything so when I get to that point I will just make one. He is also a good hydraulic guy so I will ask him. Super C owners seem few and far between and there is no member list like for the cubs. Much appreciated
