Replacing fan pulley assembly

Postby Scioux » Sat Jul 06, 2013 8:27 am

It looks like I'm going to have to take off the radiator to get the fan pulley unit off and then replace it. How do I do this?

You shouldn't need to remove the radiator. Remove the four small bolts holding the shrould, then loosen the fan pulley by putting a wrench on the flats on the shaft. DON'T turn the nut.

I have the pulley assembly loose but there's not enough room to pull everything out -- radiator is in the way. Plus fan blades are still on.

Just doesn't have quite enough room to get the thing out even with shroud removed.
