The wires on the back of the Alt. are correct.
The 77 140 is wired just like a 77 cub.

Looking for a wiring diagram for any IH tractor using the #2 terminal on a Delco alternator connected to a resistor or a diode. Make that any wiring diagram on any make tractor, vehicle, etc.. Spent several hours researching my library, on the internet. Found numerous references using the #1 terminal with either a diode or a resistor/lamp, but none on the #2 terminal. Number 2 terminal is a feed from the battery.

Show Me. I'm from Missouri.
