Can anyone tell me if this carb is the right one for this tractor? Also if there is anywhere I can find instructions on adjustment.

Might possibly be a Carter UT carb. They were used on Super A's, so they were probably used on the 100 which superseded the Super A.

Carter UT Carb Kit

we got the kit from http://www.carbsonly.com out of San Diego. Carlos was pretty quick to deliver and it is the right parts. The Super A is running fine now and is up for a plowing job at the new farm in a couple weeks :D See the Super A Carter UT Carb Starvation Issues thread.

I have no idea if your carb. is correct for the 100, or not, But it's a Marvel Schebler model TSX. The TSX was used on an awful lot of small - mid sized tractors. On a specific application the TSX was followed by a 3 digit number to identify it to that application. In your picture, everything looks right, so I'm guessing it's correct.

Agree with Gary. Marvel Schebler was my first thought but changed it due to the Carter Carbs being used on the Super A. If you look at this document - Marvel Schebler Carbs - TSX, it goes into some detail on the carb itself. This also confirms that it is a TSX.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks guys, I did some digging around and found a whole section on these carbs on a ford 8n site. complete with rebuild instructions. http://www.johnsoldiron.com/M_S_TSX_Carburetor.html the only thing I wonder about now is the" economy" adjustment? What is that about? I gave it a quick once over now that I know what adjustments are what, and she is running down right refined. Starts right up on low idle position first crank. Now if I can just get some play out of the governer arm I would be in fuel system heaven!

"Economy adjustment" is simply referring to the high speed fuel mixture, (the large screw). When doing light duty, you can often lean the mixture a bit and use a little less fuel and keep the spark plugs cleaner. Since this ( and most tractors ) is a 2 circuit carb. with no power enrichment circuit, it will tend to run rich under light duty, when adjusted for maximum power.
