Farmall Super A-140 Side Dresser - HOW TO HOOK UP??

I need help hooking up the drive chain on the 140 side dresser. I am not sure as to how it goes on there with the small tensioner gear. Pictures would help out nicely. Every which way I've tried to put it, either the top chain rubs against the bottom of the torque tube, or the 2 chains rub each other. I can't figure out which way it goes.

???? The main drive chain is driven from the left rear axle (not near the platform). The tensioner should have 2 sprockets. They will run on the upper part of the chain, near the countershaft end of the chain. Of those 2 sprockets, the rear one should be above the chain and the forward one below. The bracket that holds the tensioner should bolt to the contershaft frame and the same hole of the final drive housing that the swinging drawbar uses. The fertlizer drive is driven by a chain from the countershaft to the fertiliver drive shaft (forward of the platform). The tensioner should be above the upper part of the chain.

This is what I am talking about. It jumped off after I backed straight up 10 ft. Before it was jut loose enough to roll off at the end of a turn. Took out a link then got it on and then it popped off after I backed up

I guessed wrong. This is the version I was thinking of. Once the picture was posted, it narrowed down the possibilities.

Now that is some REAL information there!! Boss has got it down to the correct number of links and the number style of chain!! I sure do appreaciate that! I didn't realize there was different types of that chain (you said #32 chain). We reevaluated everything and got another peice of chain the same size (I've just now seen your posts, so I haven't counted links), and I repositioned the tensioner to like I think it should go; and it stayed on the whole time from driving it to the garden and testing it to driving it back to the shed. It's tight on the top and somewhat (a little) slack on the bottom. Seems to work good now. Here is a picture of what I ended up doing.....

Regarding what I said before about not knowing there was different types of the flat chain.........What are the different types of chain and what do I look for to see what kind I have?

And thank you both for the help and the knowledge that taught me something today. If I've still got it wrong...just tell me and I'll straighten it out tomorrow........then I will draw me a diagram of it and put it on the wall so I won't forget!

You need to flip the tensioner back like Boss said. Somebody posted a proper drawing on the other site where you asked.
