Need part #

Postby vanceboroguy » Thu Nov 12, 2009 1:33 pm

My friend needs a hydraulic pump for his Farmal 100. He no longer has his pump, but can get one from JP Tractor Salvage. He needs a part# for the pump, before they will sell him one. Can anyone help with the part # of this part for a Farmall 100. Thanks

The concern is that with the number series tractors, multiple pumps were used on most models. There were different capacity pumps for different tractor configurations. JP doesn't want to send a pump that won't fit, thus the need for the part number. I can give you some numbers that are LIKELY to fit but no quarantee. If you give JP one or more of these numbers and the pump doesn't work, it isn't JP's fault. Does the tractor have a one piece hydraulic manifold, with solid pipes connecting both ends so it has a fixed length? If so, I think these are standard sized pumps that will probably work:
360689R92 (Pesco)
360945R92 (Thompson)
This is a later pump that will probably back fit:
384506R94 (Cessna)

Since he lost his pump, I assume he also lost the drive gear etc. I wouldn't necessarily expect the gear to be with a replacement pump. So he needs to be sure to get one of them too. The correct gear is 350709R1 and has 16 teeth.

Thanks Jim, I didn't know they made so many pumps for this tractor. Jp tractor salvage sells pump with gear. If I order either the pesco or thompson pump with the 16 tooth gear 350709R1 it should fit, since he has one piece maniflod, correct. By the way what do you mean by back fit on the Cessna pump? Thanks

If you look in the most recent Parts Catalog, they list both the Pesco and Thompson pumps with the listed part numbers. It then says for replacement of either to order the Cessna part number. So the Cessna pump, which was available only at a later date, replaces either of the others (can be installed back into an earlier application).
