Postby vanceboroguy » Mon Feb 23, 2009 3:08 pm

Did a 1978 Farmall 140 come with altenator or generator. Are they 12 volt? Are they negative ground.I am asking for a friend who just purchased one. Thanks

The later built units(1977 and on) sn# 62400 +??? have alternators and are 12-Volt. If yours is a 1978 year model, it was factory built with an alternator and 12-volt system. Negative ground.
Cub Cadets....Engineered for people who know better!
