The phrase , as long as we're into it we might as well... came to mind. I last posted on June 2 and asked about where to find the drain plug on my Farmall 140. I did, and thanks for the advice. Now after $ 400.00 , I'm still not running , but I am close. $:{_}:$

I just got done doing the same thing on a tractor I had sold. It was going to an older gentlemen and I wanted to be sure it would last him a while.

Well, the new radiator has been installed, new coolant and new thermostat. I think were going to be okay. I was just wondering , the old thermostat was 170 degree but all NAPA had was 160 or 180. I chose 180 . What do you guys think? :?:

Are you doing mostly hot weather or cold weather operations? If you run in hot weather and really work the tractor you would probably want a 160. If you operate mostly in cold weather you would want the 180. If you're not working the tractor hard, it probably won't make any difference at all.

Thanks Big Dog, You' re the best. I just piddle around anymore, so it sounds like the 180 degree will be ok.
