I have Dad's Farmall 140 now and most of the implements, but I don't know where to buy parts. I want to refurbish the 2 bottom plow this winter. Can you guys tell me where to find plow points and shears? P.S. I enjoy reading all the posts and get a lot of joy going down memory lane remembering my farmboy days.

Hatchet - welcome to the forum! If you don't have an IH dealer close by try Carter & Gruenewald at http://www.cngco.com or check out a local TSC store or other ag supply store.

And you might try your local farm and ranch supply store. Also Valu-bilt.com. Get on the Valu-bilt.com web site and ask for their free catalog. It's a very hand reference. If the plow is IH you can also try New Holland.

Is your plow a "spear point" with multi-piece moldboard or the "throw-away type"? ----another type would be the 1-piece share, and the moldboard. the spears are not made anymore and very few are to be found!-- I re-worked some for my plows many years ago, because I couldn't get new ones! thanks; sonny

Thanks for all the info and web sites , and yes the plow point does look like a spear with a slot in back for a bolt. I plan on plowing about a 50 x 75 plot and using the one row corn planter to see if I can grow a corn crop.

You have "Plow Chief" bottoms, if you have the little point on the front of the share. I would call Ken at Carter and Gruenewald (1-866-FARMALL) as mentioned before.
