When measuring the PTO diameter is it ID or OD?

The standard for a PTO is 6 spline, 1 3/8 inch diameter.

Nope. It's inside diameter when you measure the tractor yoke.

Nope. It's inside diameter when you measure the tractor yoke. Eugene
I meant the shaft! 1 3/8" is the major diameter.
When measuring the yoke the O.D. must be a larger number than the I.D. Otherwise the hole would be on the outside!
