Does anyone recognize this front platform thing on a Farmall A plow? The plow parts have CP plow numbers. Have no idea if this is homemade or not. The hinge is interesting. Straight A, no hydraulics.
Thanks,
Nomad

Home made stuff attached to the remains of a (probably) horse drawn plow.

Thanks, Jim. I traced the tractor through various owners back to the seventies. The plow got passed along each time but no one has actually used it.
Are the CP serial numbers date driven or does IH always use those?

The CP part numbers are mostly on products that came from the Chattanooga Plow Company (bought by IH in 1919).

Re: Farmall A plow hitch
Looking at the square head stove bolts used in the assembly I get the impression that whoever modified this for the tractor did it a very long time ago.

I see a mixture of square and hex. The square ones were probably ones already in the plow that got reused.

Re: Farmall A plow hitch
Looks like it just bolts to the U-shaped drawbar in the normal position.
