What is a Farmall 100 worth?

Postby Super A » Tue May 03, 2016 8:17 pm

I know of a 100 for sale, I'm interested in a couple implements that go with it as a package. What do 100s go for--about the same as a Super A? More? Less? The tin is not bad except the grille is pretty banged up.

thanks,
Al

I'd say the same as a Super A. Maybe a tad more considering the larger engine and the lower production numbers compared to the Super A.

Why Boss? I assume it has a more powerful engine?
Oh while I have you, and just to double check a 140's snowplow and mounts will fit an A correct?

I do believe the 1A-60 was one of the few implements that could be attached to the regular A and the Super A/140

It mostly comes down to age and use. And the fact that most believe a 140 is just a better tractor. As for the plow you should be able to if you can rig it up to be lifted with the hand lift

I should add that the late model 140s 70 and up are the higher dollar tractors the early 140s 58 to 62 dont bring much more if any than the SA-130s

Sorry for the sidetrack of the thread Al. Boss thanks, thats good that the 140 plow can bolt up as I may have found one that is rusty but very straight.
Al provided the hand lift and it does have very strong springs to help counter the plows weight. If it works great! If the springs aren't able to counter the weight and it proves to much for me to lift and I can't rig another spring to counter its weight I have a plan B which is with a small electric winch I bought from Harbor Freight. It would work like my friends quad does lifting the plow.
I'm really going to try to make it work with IH Farmall parts to stay in the spirit of the way things were done back in the day.
Mike.
