Okay so we are moving to the governor now. Wondering if there are any wear parts here I should replace while I have it opened up? I'm guessing springs? Anything else? Thanks again randy

Replace the thrust Bearing on the end of the shift. Also check for excessive play on the control rod. The bushings may be worn. Make sure weights are freely moving also.

Thanks Todd

Thanks Todd. Everything else seemed pretty after giving it a bath in the parts washer. I had to make the bumper pin out of some rod. Not sure how but I lost it someplace. I use the one from my spare motor to get measurements. This way I can keep them both as "full" governors. Springs and bearing are on order though. That bearing was a pricey little guy!
Thanks again. Randy
