Choke Rod Connection

Postby nomad » Fri Feb 26, 2016 2:37 pm

I recently rebuilt the zenith carb on a Farmall A. In my haste to get the carb off, I failed to note how the choke rod attaches. Now I can't figure it out or find a good picture. Does anyone have a picture or can you point me to a diagram of how the choke attaches to a zenith carb?

Thanks,

Nomad

Thanks Mike. Can't tell if that's what I have. I took a picture of my set up. I am wondering if something dropped off or if I am suppose to ram the rod through. I don't want to break anything.

Wrong side. There is a rocker to connect the rod that is facing the engine block. If you look at my picture again and look at where the rod is relative to everything else. Look at your carb. from the bottom.

Thanks for hanging with me. That part was missing. Looked everywhere--on and under tractor, work bench, floor. Nothing. Then I probed the bottom of the carb cleaning can. Bingo. I now have a very clean (and working) choke. Thanks
