Farmall A Cultivators on a Super A

Postby AGrinthal » Thu Jan 28, 2016 11:39 am

Does anyone know if the cultivators for a Farmall A will work on a Super A?
I know the "A" had the lift arms/springs just don't know if you can discard them and use the rocker arms on the Super "A" instead.

Or are Super "A" cultivators setup radically different than a regular "A"

Curious since I can pick up a set but I have a Super A not an "A" and not sure if they would work for me.

Thanks
Andy

I would say "radically different" pretty well describes it. People have done it, but . . .

Maybe different in your area, but generally a complete cultivator for a Super A is easier to find than one for an A, won't cost any more either. Cultivators for 100/130/140 are essentially the same as for a Super A and will go right on. Cultivators from a Fast-Hitch tractor will have a few differences and you would need to get a few additional parts.

Andy, make sure the seller knows what he has. Some owners call their tractor an "A" when in fact it is a Super "A". check out the owners tractor (if he has it) to be sure of what he has.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks guys. The guy purchased his "A" for pulling and the cultivators came with it. He has two lifte leavers with it so it's gotta be an "A" and not a super A. I'm just not familiar enough with them to know if they are interchangeable.. sounds like its a big "NO".

Thanks.. Saves me a trip.

What should the cost for a set for a super A run?
