F130 Carburator

Just as an interest, I found a spare carb in my junk pile.

Spare
Typical Zenith model 68 carburetor

Type: 68-7
Vehicle/Machine Manufacturer: Wisconsin
Manufacturer Number: L63A
Service Carburetor Number: 12544

My original:
Typical Zenith model 68 carburetor

Type: 68X7
Vehicle/Machine Manufacturer: I.H.C.
Manufacturer Number: 366462R91
Service Carburetor Number: 12522

The bottom half is identical on both. But the venturi are not the same size.
What difference will the venturi size make if I use the Spare top on the tractor?

The picture is a bit of an optical illusion as the original carb is on bolts and is setting closer to the camera making it appear larger.

My guess would be difference in fuel flow rate. The spare was probably designed for a different engine that maybe spun at higher RPMs

Research shows the spare carb is for a walk behind 12.5hp tractor.

Ordered rebuild kit for original 12122.

Thanks for stopping by.

I believe that those venturis are changeable/interchangeable.

Don,
The venturi on the spare will not fit in the original top.
Almost, but too tight.
I like the spare top as it is cleaner.
Not sure of performance differences, but as you can see the number inside is not a match.
