I have a question for anybody familiar with the transmission in a 140. Inside the transmission there is a galley cast on the right hand side. This galley seems to feed three bearings, the front main shaft, the rear main shaft, and it runs back into the diff. Where the galley runs to the front bearing, it slopes down to a reservoirs cast in the front of the case. The reservoir is right next to the front main shaft bearing, but I can't find a feed hole to the bearing.
Is the front main bearing supposed to be fear oil from this galley, or is it splashed lubed from the shaft spinning.
Thanks
Hank

Re: Question about 140 transmission
I believe there is a holethrogh the transmission into the front bearing retainer and the bearing is oiled from the front.
