Grading blade for Super A

Postby AllanD » Sat Feb 21, 2015 11:06 am

I have been coveting some Super A tractors on Craig's List. Since I already have a modern compact tractor and implements one of the main attractions of the Farmall is to have a mid mount blade to grade my gravel drive. How hard is it to find a blade? I have done google searches with no luck and most part dealers only list a few blade parts. I want to be sure I can get a blade before taking the plunge. While I'm asking, what about a flail mower?

The blade you are looking for it the 1A-60 grader and leveling blade. It can be mounted as a snowplow or midmounted as a grader/leveler, so if you spot someone selling a "Super A snow plow" its going to be the same thing. They aren't too hard to find. I've seen them pop up on craiglist every once in a while here in Western Massachusetts. One thing that you need to look out for is the special drawbar for midmounting the blade. There is a manual here on the site for it. Go to Manuals > Super A Manuals > 1A-60 Leveling and Grader Blade.

Thanks Mike. That's exactly what I needed to know to get the right one. Looks like finding the tractor is much easier than the blade. If I find a blade listed I'll need to snatch it up.

Forgot to mention: this is also the same plow for the 100 130 and 140 tractors. Any of them sporting a "snow plow" or blade are all the same.

Goodluck!
