Here's an update on and some pictures of my A project. I don't have current pictures for every part that I've worked on, but I do have a few progress pix. Here's a list of some of the things I've done:
Carb: New float installed, new seals around choke and throttle shafts, primed and painted, ready to go back on the tractor. Pix later
Governor control rebuilt, ready for sandblasting- Pix to come!
Crank pulley pulled, cleaned, ready for sandblasting
Front cover pulled, cleaned, old seal removed, ready for SB'ing
Steering column removed
Gas tank brackets removed
Left fender removed
Right fender almost off- one seized bolt to be cut
Oil pan cleaned, major dents removed, ready for SB'ing- Pix to come
Starter removed
Rough "table" thrown up for tools and parts. Need four times as much space.

Re: Update with pictures
Your stand doesn't look to be stable. I have been there in your shoes before, but I now think more about (WHAT IF). The back wheels look to be set well in or on the ground, but maybe some blocks for insurance would make me feel better.

Re: Update with pictures
I knew that was coming- I deserve it. I had to block it behind the engine, as I had to pull the oil pan. That said, I have thrown my 160-pound self against it from several directions to check stability, and it seems ok. I am fixing to pull the rear wheels, and will block the tractor up properly. There is actually an overhead rail above the tractor, that I am able to lift from, so that is a big help.
