Work Lamp.

Postby minkbigbird » Sat May 31, 2014 8:56 pm

Hi. I am putting an order together and was wondering if the rear work light where the same as the front headlights when new? not sure if the red dot light in the clear work light was factory spec. These may sound like basic questions but if you don't know you only find out if you ask. thanks.

The combination lights, even in the years they were available, were an option. The standard rear light, if you even had lights, was the same as the front lights.

Thanks Jim. My tractor has the rear work bracket still in place but no light same for the front.
I was going to order a 4 position switch which has been removed in the past, would this be correct for a rear work lamp with a red tail lamp bulb? still 6 volt with a reg. and generator.Parts are not cheap to ship to Australia and don't want to stuff it up. Thanks.

The four posistion is for a generator with a cut-out. The three posistion is for a generator with a voltage regulator. The rear light comes on with the headlights. The one with a red tail lamp had a switch on the lamp for red/white/off.

Yeah, what Daniel said about the 3 and 4 position switches. They changed during Super A production, about 1950.

Thanks. Mine has a reg. fitted just below the generator, saved a mistake so I will go with the 3 position headlight switch the serial is #312014 S.AV. which is I think is about mid. 1951. Thanks Brian.
