HI,
I was unable to locate a manual for correctly setting up a 296 fast hitch 2 furrow plow for my Super A. Can anybody assist me with the proper setup such as rear wheel width, etc..? or is there no particular setup. I did review Bill Hudson's plow setup for the cub which, was very helpful before I dropped the plow in the dirt. Thanks in advance for all the help!

Re: 296 Two furrow plow setup
Does the 296 have beams that look sort of like a Cub-193 plow, with a fast hitch point on the front? If so, the wheels should be at 44". On the 215 plow you move the fast hitch bail over, so that the front goes in the far left hand hole. IIRC if you have 12" bottoms it's the second hole from the left. Move the receiver end of the fast hitch over as well. I would assume the setting for a 296 would be the same.

I do believe the 296 beam resembles the cub 189.

The goal is for the front bottom to make a full cut with the wheel running near the edge of the previous furrow.
On a 12" bottom, I'd think you'd want something like 13-14" of "sideways" distance from the left edge of the front bottom to the left edge of the rear tire.
