I was wondering how much a Super A plow would run?
The draw bar is there but the plow is not and neither are the arms that go to the hydros.
Also can you plow without the hydros? If so how would that work?

Re: Super A Plow
No idea on price, but the normal set up is left hydro lifts the plow via the rear rockshaft, and the right hand one has an arm that connects to the drawbar to raise and lower it controlling the depth. Trying to plow without them would require quite a bit of engineering, or in my case, Hillbillyizing.

Re: Super A Plow
So,---- you are NOT buying a plow---you are ONLY buying a drawbar. the tractor needs a drawbar to pull EVERYTHING from.
Depending on area,---plows can go from $5.00 all the way to $650. ---and useally are NOT complete at that price. thanks; sonny

Re: Super A Plow
I got my plows for $100 bucks. I had to buy two carabiners to get the chains to latch onto the rear rockers. But for $100 bucks I got both blows and the depth control bar.
Only one plow is there, but they were both in the same condition.
It depends on what kind of deal you can find and how badly you want/need them. You shouldn't pay more than $500 in my honest opinion.
here is a picture of the depth control arm. I cleaned and painted it, but I do believe you can machine them or buy them, someone else on the forum should be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: Super A Plow
If you need to make one, i would think using a top link form a 3pt, that way you could fine tune it to suit the length needs.

Re: Super A Plow
The rear lift arms and rod .are common parts. Should not be hard to find at all. The rod may be bowed/bent but it will work. Are you looking for a single bottom plow or 2 bottom? Single was 16" and the 2 bottom were 12". In my area the 2 bottom was more common but the single 16" plow is really nice. I think you should be able to find either one for less than $200, they are priced comparable to a Cub plow.

I am not familiar with Super A plows, but is that the right set up. On a Cub it would throw the dirt to the right. It looks like this one has part of a two way plow on it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Since he said "both plows", I assume he has a right and a left (A-189 two-way). The one in the picture is a left.

Nice looking set up - I like the two way plows! Are the 189 plows 12"?
