Magnetic Block heater?
So I've heard that if you need a block heater for your tractor, one of the simplest things to do it get one of those magnetic ones and stick it to the oil pan to thin the oil out and let the heat rise up into the block. Thoughts?

Re: Magnetic Block heater?
I have a couple of magnetic block heaters on the bench. They work OK. Just take a long time to warm up an engine block. Use to put them on a timer. Timer would kick on about 4 hours before I wanted to use the machine.
For cars, a better system is one that fits in the lower radiator hose and circulates heated coolant through the cooling system - block.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Magnetic Block heater?
I bought two. One on the oil pan and the other on the block above the intake and below the exhaust. Left if for a couple hours and it started up perfectly.
