Plow

Postby SONNY » Tue Mar 19, 2013 8:41 pm

This was at the auction and I had the top bid when they wanted my # !!LOL!!

Image

The lever has NOT been hacked up,--board is excellent, share is a bit worn, (a silver Streak will take care of that!), the eyebolt wasnt with it but I can make one of them!--the drop link is there and they are usually the missing part so didnt figure I did too bad!---at least I think it is for Super A tractor!---too big and long for Cubs!
Dont like the paint on the board, but guess I can burn that off then grind it smooth thanks; sonny

Super A plows do not have a depth control lever. They use the right arm of the touch control to raise and lower the drawbar.

You gots yourself a near-complete Cub plow there.

Checked the mount bolt spacing on the lever today,----AND it fits the cub,--- not the super a! LOL! It is not stamped cub on the beam, but measures 12 inches across the width of cut! ---The problem with that is that a cub dont have the power to pull plow in my black ground here, so its back to rebuild the other plow for the sa --OR tandem hitch 2 of my cubs together and plow that way.!! thanks; sonny

There is a Super A plow that looks very similar, but the beam does not have a twist as that one does. Also, Super A plow is 14",and cub is 12".
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Frankly, I think you could make it work. All you need is to fabricate a link to lift the Super A's drawbar with the touch control arm for depth control.
